His 52 victories make him one of the most celebrated golfers in the history of the sport. His many accomplishments include victories at the Masters in 1937 and 1942, U.S. Open Championship in 1939 and the PGA Championship in 1940 and 1945. Byron was also a member of four Ryder Cup teams. In 1945, Byron won a PGA Tour record 18 times, including the PGA Championship and a record 11 straight tournament wins. The professional golfer then signs an affidavit certifying the authenticity of the item, as well as the number of pieces actually signed. A tamper-resistant, hologram is affixed to the finished product. A Certificate of Authenticity is then issued which bears its own unique identification number.
