The Swede's strong and consistent play propelled the Rangers to their first playoff berth in eight years and earned him a Vezina Trophy nomination, which is awarded annually to the league's best goaltender. Lundqvist also backstopped Team Sweden to their gold medal in the 2006 Olympics. "King Henrik," as he?s been nicknamed by many New York faithful, is the first NHL goalie in history to record 30-plus wins in each of his first five season.
