John played for his only NFL franchise for 16 seasons - from 1983-1999 - and in 2003 became the first inductee from the Broncos to the NFL Football Hall of Fame. When John Elway got his hands on the football the Bronco's fans could be assured that something exciting was going to happen, a concept is perfectly illustrated in this sculpture. The artist has captured the essence of the player's hands in the detail of the fingernails, skin and shape of the hands. Bronze casting replicates John's right throwing hand precisely, right down to the veins visbile when he grips the football. Comes with walnut base to which the casting is attached, along with a black acrylic back. The acrylic back is laser engraved with John's name, uniform number and dates of his career. Also features John's signature laser-engraved into the base and an unsigned authentic replica Wilson football. Sizing of piece presents John's hand and football in exact 50% scale to real size. Limited edition of 2004, with this number also laser engraved in the acrylic base. Dimensions are 12" high x 13" wide x 8" deep.
