New Orleans Saints Autographed Memorabilia and Collectibles

The New Orleans Saints are one of the premier football teams in the NFL today. The team was founded in 1967, and the start of the franchise was not very successful. For the majority of 20 years in the league, the Saints were predominantly bottom-dwellers in the NFL. During this time, it was Archie Manning, the father of Peyton and Eli Manning, who was the starting quarterback of the Saints. Manning was drafted by the Saints with the second overall pick in the 1971 NFL Draft. Manning was a two-time Pro Bowler, but could never get the Saints to be considered a legitimate threat for the playoffs.

The Saints finally made the playoffs for the first time in franchise history in 1987. The team finished 12-3, which also marked the first winning season in franchise history, but went on to lose in the playoffs against the Minnesota Vikings. The Saints were able to duplicate some of that success in 1988 by going 10-6, but like the year before the team wasn’t able to win when it mattered most. The Saints didn’t win their first playoff game until a 31-28 defeat of the St. Louis Rams in the 2000 NFC playoffs. The New Orleans Saints started the 2006 a year removed from the devastating Hurricane Katrina, which caused damages to the Superdome and could not be used until ’06. With Sean Payton as the head coach and Drew Brees at the quarterback position, the Saints were primed to make a playoff run and win another postseason game. The Saints went 10-6 after going 3-13 the previous season, and advanced to the NFC Championship game for the first time in team history but ultimately lost to the Chicago Bears.

The New Orleans Saints came together for the 2009 season and made it one for the ages. In its 43rd season, the franchise recorded the most successful year to date. The team won the NFC South with a 13-3 record and was primed to make a push for the Super Bowl. The Saints actually started the 2009 season 13-0 and looked to possibly complete a perfect regular season before losing their final three games in preparation for the playoffs. Once in the playoffs, the Saints faced off against the Arizona Cardinals and Minnesota Vikings in the NFC playoffs before advancing to Super Bowl XLIV against the Indianapolis Colts. Led by the play of Drew Brees and a spectacular interception returned for touchdown by Tracy Porter, the Saints beat the Colts 31-17 to claim the first Super Bowl title in franchise history.

The New Orleans Saints are one of the top teams in the NFL at this moment, and they aren’t looking to relinquish that anytime soon. As a team stacked with talent, it’s easy to see why Saints fans are as joyful about their memorabilia as they have ever been. Drew Brees, Jimmy Graham and Marques Colston are just a few players the Saints have that are at the top of their games. Any New Orleans Saints memorabilia that you add to your collection at this moment will only positively impact the collection.

    • Drew Brees Autographed Footballs: Since joining the New Orleans Saints in 2006, Drew Brees has emerged as one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL. During his time with the Saints, Brees has led the league in touchdown passes, passing yards and 300-yard games. As the MVP of Super Bowl XLIV it’s easy to see why NFL memorabilia collectors are investing in autographed Drew Brees memorabilia now rather than later. Saints can show their team pride with a white logo football has been hand-signed by Drew Brees or serious collectors can commemorate an NFL great with a classic signed game ball. Many autographed Drew Brees footballs also have inscriptions, such as “SB XLIV MVP,” to denote the quarterback’s many triumphs. The addition of a Drew Brees signed football can do wonders for a collection, and because Brees is in the midst of what will likely be a Hall of Fame career the time to invest in his memorabilia is now.

    • Archie Manning Signed Helmets: Archie Manning was the quarterback for the Saints when the franchise was very young and needed guidance. Though Manning never led the Saints to the level of success they have garnered recently, he will always be remembered as a two-time Pro Bowler on team’s that needed his high level of play. The Saints have honored Manning by no longer issuing his No.8 jersey to players. A signed Archie Manning helmet is a fantastic addition to any NFL memorabilia collection. From a range of Archie Manning autograph helmets that features Saints design, die-hard football fans can also take home a piece of history items signed by Archie and  his future Hall of Fame sons, Peyton and Eli, have signed it as well. An autographed Archie Manning helmet is special because very rarely will you find a piece of memorabilia that spans three generations in the NFL.

    • Jimmy Graham Plaques: Jimmy Graham is one of top tight ends in the NFL today. His combination of speed, height and athleticism make him one of the biggest options on the field for quarterback Drew Brees. Graham became the first tight end in Saints history to record more than 1,000 receiving yards in a season – he did so in 2011 when he recorded 1,310 receiving yards and caught 11 touchdown passes. Because Graham has just begun to make a name for himself his memorabilia is hard to come by. Making the investment in a Jimmy Graham collage is the right thing to do now. New Orleans Saints fans should take advantage of the fact that Graham has gone unnoticed and invest while the prices are affordable.

    • Marques Colston Memorabilia: Marques Colston has turned out to be one of the best draft picks the New Orleans Saints have ever made. The Saints drafted Colston with 252nd pick in the seventh round of the 2006 NFL Draft, and have reaped the benefits of taking him. Colston is the Saints’ all-time leader in receiving yards, touchdown catches, total touchdowns, yards from scrimmage and total receptions. There is no doubt that Colston will go down as one of the best wide receivers to ever play for the Saints, and that’s why fans who want to celebrate his dominance should invest in his memorabilia now. An autographed Marques Colston helmet would be a great pickup for any collector because it adds depth to any collection while providing a great item to display.

    • Kenny Vaccaro Autographed Helmets: Kenny Vaccaro was drafted by the Saints with the 15th pick in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft with the expectations that he would become their next iconic defensive player. Vaccaro was named an All-American during his senior year at the University of Texas because of his impactful plays on the backend of their defense. His combination of speed and size puts him in the conversation to be the Saints’ next generation superstar. An autographed Kenny Vaccaro helmet would be a fantastic investment by any Saints fan because of the potential return the product can have as Vaccaro continues to make an impact in the NFL.
