Steiner Sports entered the sports business world in 1987, and has exclusive autograph deals with Derek Jeter, Tony Hawk, David Ortiz, Johnny Damon, Joe Torre, Eli Manning, Tiki Barber, Paul O'Neill and Curt Schilling among others.
AUTOGRAPH ACQUISITION AND AUTHENTICATION
Steiner Sports acquires the autographed memorabilia it sells from paid athlete signings, most often from athletes with whom Steiner has an exclusive signing relationship.
Each and every hand-signed collectible that carries a Steiner Sports tamper-proof hologram is witnessed by a Steiner Sports representative. Once the collectibles have been autographed they are examined for quality and signature condition, and then cataloged and inventoried. A notarized affidavit is prepared and signed by the athlete and a Steiner Sports representative.
The notarized affidavit records the date and location of the signing and also details the items that were signed by the specified athlete. This document is then secured within the Steiner Sports main offices.
Once the hand-signed collectible has passed the steps listed above, a Steiner Sports Certificate of Authenticity is created for the collectible. The collectible is then sealed and stored within our main office and is not handled until it is delivered to a sports collectible enthusiast.
COA FEATURES
Steiner Sports provides a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) that is the size of a credit card and made of durable plastic. It carries text that reads, "This certificate is your assurance that the enclosed item of sports memorabilia has been personally signed by the state sports celebrity/celebrities. The authenticity of the signature(s) is unconditionally guaranteed by Steiner Sports Memorabilia, Inc."
It also bears the Steiner logo, a facsimile signature of Steiner Sports President Brandon Steiner, and on the reverse includes a hologram specific to the product as well as a description of the item and a corresponding bar code. Note, some products may instead come with a card-stock paper version of the Steiner Sports COA.
