Lewis then went on to become a focal point of what would be one of the best defensive units to ever play football when the Ravens conceded the fewest points and fewest rushing yards in the 2000 NFL season. En route to winning Super Bowl XXXV, the Ravens recorded four shutouts and Lewis’ key role on defense earned him the Super Bowl XXXV MVP award and Defensive Player of the Year honors.

Ray Lewis continually hit new heights when it came to tackles throughout his career and it was only fitting that in the final season of his NFL career, the Ravens won Super Bowl XLVII. During his 17 amazing seasons of professional football, Lewis picked up a number of major honors and awards including two Super Bowl championships, 13 selections to the Pro-Bowl, two Defensive Player of the Year awards, two Linebacker of the Year titles, and holds a record of 51 tackles for a single postseason.
